Jim has been invited to deliver lectures and workshops at universities, schools, and professional organizations across the country, speaking on topics ranging from writing pedagogy and curriculum design to the cultural power of memoir. His presentations have included invited talks at institutions such as the University of Nebraska, the University of Michigan, Syracuse University, Washington and Lee University, and the Modern Language Association, as well as workshops for educators in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.
