Jim’s graduate seminars focus on the theory and practice of teaching writing, the role of metaphor and literacy in shaping thought, and the narratives teachers and students create in classrooms. At the undergraduate level, he offers courses on the modern memoir, literature and sports, music and writing, and a variety of approaches to personal and exploratory writing.
